| Northern New England Chapter Pilot Mentoring Program
Summary: A six- to twelve-month program in which mentor and mentee agree to meet and/or converse for a suggested minimum of one hour each month.
The mentor/mentee will agree to a timetable and time commitment designed to accomplish a pre-determined written goal. The goal will be reviewed by the mentor task force to help assure that the expectations of both the mentor and mentee are able to be met. Evaluations will be requested at mid- and end- points from both mentor and mentee.
MENTEE CRITERIA:
- Less then five years and more than one in the field (for pilot program - might want to develop a program track for more advanced people in the future) including people from other fields who want to enter the development profession.
- Interested in pursuing CFRE designation.
- Must submit an initial written goal statement.
- Must commit to initiating the mentor/mentee exchanges after the first contact.
- Must agree to participate in an evaluation process at the half-way mark and at completion.
MENTOR CRITERIA:
- Member of the NNE Chapter.
- Five or more years of experience as a full-time professional.
- CFRE designation or experience as an instructor for The Academy.
- Must commit to a minimum of one hour per month for at least six months and up to one year.
- Must commit, if attending, to a mentor discussion group at annual chapter conference.
- Must be a subject matter expert if the match is about a specific topic, but the program is not meant to be about subject matter education or instruction.
- Must agree to help craft a mentor/mentee agreement.
- Must agree to participate in an evaluation process at the half-way mark and at the completion.
